Instant Rice Dosa (Green Dosa)

This is my own creation/recipe. I use a lot of greens to make a batter and hence my children call it green dosa.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rice flour
  • ¼ cup gram flour (besan)
  • 3 eggs
  • Curry leaves
  • Cilantro
  • 4-5 green chilies
  • 1-inch ginger
  • ½ cup plain yogurt/dahi
  • Salt
  • Oil

Method:

  • Grind green chilies, cilantro, curry leaves, and ginger to the smooth paste
  • Mix all the ingredients together and make a flowing batter by adding water
  • Add salt and mix well
  • Let it stand for 15 minutes
  • Take a dosa pan, heat it on the stove

  • Brush with about 1 teaspoon of oil
  • Pour one ladle of batter into the center of the griddle. Using the bottom of the ladle, quickly spread the batter outward in a circular motion
  • Drizzle some oil over the top
  • Cook dosa batter to brown on the bottom. Cook on one side only
  • With a spatula, carefully loosen the dosa from the griddle. The bottom should be crisp and beautifully browned.
  • Serve with butter.
