Roasted Makhana


Makhana is also called foxnut or lotus seed. It contains antioxidants and is rich in several micronutrients, including calcium, magnesium, iron, and phosphorus. Makhana is rich in protein and fiber, which may be beneficial for weight loss. Roasted makhana is a very quick, and easy recipe and can be a healthy option for children and adults.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Makhana
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbs butter

Method:

  • Take a pan and heat it
  • Add butter and salt
  • Once butter melts, add makhana seeds and mix well until they get coated well
  • On medium flame, roast makhana until they become crunchy and change the color to light golden
  • Let it cool down before eating
  • You can store it in an air-tight container.

You can make similar roasted makhana by adding red chili powder too.
