Achari Aloo (Potato Fry)


This is my son’s recipe. Perfectly cooked baby potatoes coated with an aromatic spice mix. Easy, simple, super delicious potato dish with just a few ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 250 gm baby potatoes
  • 2 tbsp MDH Achari aloo masala
  • 3-4 garlic-minced
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp brown sugar
  • Salt
  • Oil

Method:

  • Wash the baby potatoes and cut into halves
  • In a pan, add oil and heat it
  • Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds
  • Let them crackle

  • Add minced garlic and fry it
  • Add potato pieces
  • Mix well so they get coated with oil well
  • Cover and cook on low flame
  • Keep stirring in between
  • Once potato gets soft, add achari aloo masala, salt, and sugar
  • Mix well
  • Adjust the salt
  • Once potatoes cook well, turn off the stove and enjoy the yummy potatoes!
