Tomato dosa is a tangy, tasty, spicy and colorful breakfast dish. You can add less tomatoes to make it less tangy.
Ingredients:
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 small bowl rice flour
- 1 small bowl semolina
- 2 dried red chilies
- 1 inch ginger
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Oil
- Chopped onions
- Salt
Method:
- Soak dried red chilies in water for 15 minutes)
- Blend tomato pieces, soaked red chilies and ginger by adding water
- Mix rice flower, semolina, cumin seeds, salt and onion to the tomato paste
- Mix well and let this stand for 15 minutes (it will allow the semolina to puff a little and will absorb water)
- Make flowy batter by adding water
- Take a dosa pan, heat it on the stove
- Brush with about 1 teaspoon of oil
- Pour the batter on hot tawa
- Drizzle some oil over the top
- Cook dosa batter to brown on the bottom
- With a spatula, carefully loosen the dosa from the griddle
- The bottom should be crisp and beautifully browned
- Flip it and cook well
- Serve hot!
