Tomato Dosa


Tomato dosa is a tangy, tasty, spicy and colorful breakfast dish. You can add less tomatoes to make it less tangy.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 small bowl rice flour
  • 1 small bowl semolina
  • 2 dried red chilies
  • 1 inch ginger

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Oil
  • Chopped onions
  • Salt

Method:

  • Soak dried red chilies in water for 15 minutes)
  • Blend tomato pieces, soaked red chilies and ginger by adding water
  • Mix rice flower, semolina, cumin seeds, salt and onion to the tomato paste
  • Mix well and let this stand for 15 minutes (it will allow the semolina to puff a little and will absorb water)
  • Make flowy batter by adding water

  • Take a dosa pan, heat it on the stove
  • Brush with about 1 teaspoon of oil
  • Pour the batter on hot tawa
  • Drizzle some oil over the top
  • Cook dosa batter to brown on the bottom
  • With a spatula, carefully loosen the dosa from the griddle
  • The bottom should be crisp and beautifully browned
  • Flip it and cook well
  • Serve hot!
