Roasted Brussel Sprouts & Asparagus


Brussel sprouts are the most powerful cold-weather superfoods containing immunity booster vitamin C and cancer-fighting glucosinolates.

Asparagus is low in calories and packed with essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Ingredients:

  • 1-pound Brussel sprouts
  • 1 bunch Asparagus
  • 3 tbs Olive oil
  • Salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper powder
  • 4-5 Garlic cloves
  • 1 ½ cup shredded cheese

Method:

  • Wash Brussel sprouts. Cut them into equal-sized halves.
  • Wash asparagus and cut them into 2-inch pieces.
  • Toss the vegetables in a mixing bowl with olive oil, salt, and pepper powder.

  • Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  • Transfer asparagus and Brussel sprouts to the baking pan (cover it with aluminum foil) and spread them out evenly.

  • Place the veggies into the oven to roast for about 20 minutes.

  • Meanwhile, take a small pan, add oil to it, and heat it.
  • Add minced garlic and roast it until light brown.

  • After 20 minutes, remove the pan from the oven.
  • Sprinkle cheese evenly over top. Return to oven and broil until the cheese is melted and golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Spread the roasted garlic and serve.
