This is a very easy recipe. My mother used to make it a lot. She used to use Karal chutney powder to make this chutney. Karal seeds are called Niger seeds in English. Karal chutney powder is make with dry roasted karal seeds + roasted peanuts+ garlic+salt+red chili powder, which stays fresh for more than a month.
Ingredients:
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tbsp tamarind pulp
- Jaggery as per your taste
- Salt
- 1 tbsp karal chutney (you can use roasted peanut powder instead)
Method:
- Grind all the ingredients to smooth paste
- Serve it with any parathas or masala roti.
