Ingredients:
- 4 Potatoes
- 1 onion- medium-sized
- 4 Tomatoes
- 2-3 Garlic cloves
- Cilantro for garnishing
- Oil 1 tbs
- Salt
- Red chili powder
- ½ tsp ginger paste
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- 4 green chilies
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- Pinch of hing (Asafoetida)
Method:
- Cut onions, potatoes, and tomatoes into cubes
- Take a pan, add oil to it, and heat.
- Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let them crackle.
- Add ginger paste, garlic pieces, onions, and hing. Saute until the onion turns golden.
- Add potatoes and let them cook until soft.
- Add turmeric powder.
- Then add tomatoes and cook until the potato becomes soft. You can add little water at this stage.
- Add salt, and chili powder, and mix well.
- Garnish it with cilantro and serve with Indian flat-bread (roti or paratha).
