Peanut Chutney Powder

This is the dry spice powder made with roasted peanuts. It stays good for 1-2 months.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups raw peanuts
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1-2 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt

Method:

  • Take a thick bottom pot. Add peanuts and roast them until they have spots.
  • Let them cool down.
  • No need to remove the skin.
  • Grind garlic, cumin seeds, peanuts, red chili powder, and salt to a coarse powder.
  • After 30 minutes, transfer it to an air-tight container.
  • It can be used in many different ways: Eat with hot rice, and ghee or mix it with plain yogurt (curd) and use it as an instant chutney for idli/dosa. My children like it on bread-butter toast or on bagel-cream cheese.
