Masala milk is a milk recipe that has nuts, dried seeds, and some spices added to it. It has several health benefits in addition to taste, smell, nutrients, and enriched flavor.
Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk
  • ¼ cup cashews
  • 5-6 almonds
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds (optional)
  • 2-3 cardamom
  • 5-6 saffron threads
  • Pinch of turmeric powder (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Milk powder
  • Sugar as per your taste

Method:

This masala milk can be made in different ways:

  1. You can soak almonds and cashews for 1 hour and then grind them to paste and add them to the milk.
  2. You can make a dry powder (without soaking or roasting) of nuts and seeds and add it to milk.
  3. You can use store-bought readymade powder.
  4. Here I am giving a recipe for roasting and grinding nuts.

  • Dry roast almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, and cardamom seeds on low heat for 1-2 minutes until they change color and cardamom leaves the aroma. Cool them and grind to a powder and keep them aside.
  • Take a pan, add milk and bring it to boil
  • Take milk powder in a small bowl, add cold milk and make a thin paste
  • Add this paste to boiling milk
  • Then add the nuts/seeds powder, sugar, turmeric powder, and saffron threads
  • Mix well and let it thicken a little bit
  • Turn off the stove
  • Serve the thick masala milk hot or chilled.
