Makhana Dosa


This is very nutritious and easy dosa recipe. This dosa is very soft and yummy. Makhana, also called foxnut or lotus seed. It contains antioxidants and is rich in several micronutrients, including calcium, magnesium, iron, and phosphorus. Makhana is rich in protein and fiber, which may be beneficial for weight loss.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Makhana
  • 1 cup Semolina (rava)
  • ½ cup Poha (flattened rice)
  • ½ cup curd/dahi
  • Salt

Method:

  • Take makhana, semolina, poha and dahi in a bowl
  • Add 1 cup water, mix it and keep it aside
  • After 20-30 minutes, grind the mixture into a smooth batter by adding ½ cup more water
  • Transfer the batter to a bowl
  • Add salt and add water to get desired consistency
  • It should not too thin or too thick

  • Take a pan, heat it, smear oil, and pour some batter over it.
  • Spread evenly with a spoon/ladle
  • This dosa is usually little thick
  • Add ½ tsp oil around the edges

  • Cook until the base is firm and light brown
  • Flip it and let it cook well on both sides
  • Serve dosa hot with any chutney, or ketchup
