Kalakand is a delicious Indian sweet made by curdling milk (making paneer) and then cooking it along with sugar for a long time till all the moisture evaporates. It is flavored with cardamom and nuts. This is a very simple, easy, and quick recipe of kalakand using two ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 48 oz tub of Ricotta cheese
  • 1 can of sweetened Condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • ¼ cup dry fruit pieces of your choice

Method

  • In a pan, add ricotta cheese and condensed milk
  • Turn on the stove to medium heat
  • Mix well and keep stirring until the mixture becomes smooth and thin
  • Now switch to low-flame and keep stirring frequently
  • In 10 minutes, the mixture will start to thicken
  • Add cardamom powder, mix well

  • Continue cooking until it turns doughy consistency
  • Grease a square tray with ghee or place a parchment paper
  • Transfer the mixture to the tray
  • Flatten it with a spatula to make an even surface

  • Sprinkle pieces of nuts on the kalakand
  • Press gently with a spatula
  • Refrigerate for 1-2 hours
  • Then take out and cut with a sharp knife into squares or diamonds
